Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra – Transfer to Phuentsholing (Approx. 170 km | 4–5 Hours Drive)

Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, meet your Bhutan Escapes Journeys executive and begin your scenic drive towards the Indo-Bhutan border. After completing immigration formalities, enter Bhutan and continue to the border town of Phuentsholing.

Unlike the bustling Indian plains, Phuentsholing offers the first glimpse of Bhutan's unique blend of tradition, spirituality, and modernity.

Depending on arrival time, explore local markets and visit:

Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu | Approx. 165 km | 5–6 Hours

After breakfast, begin the spectacular ascent into the Bhutanese Himalayas. The road winds through dense forests, waterfalls, and mountain villages, offering magnificent views throughout the journey.

Upon arrival in Thimphu, check into your hotel and prepare for an introductory cycling session.

A guided ride around Thimphu Valley introduces riders to Bhutan's roads and elevation profile.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha – Signature Mountain Cycling Experience

Cycling Distance: 55–75 km (Optional) | Highest Elevation: 3,100 m

Today features one of Bhutan's most rewarding cycling routes. After an early breakfast, transfer to the cycling start point and begin riding towards the majestic Dochula Pass.

The climb rewards cyclists with breathtaking Himalayan panoramas and the famous 108 chortens that stand against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks.

After refreshments at the pass, enjoy a thrilling downhill ride through rhododendron forests into the fertile Punakha Valley.
