Today's trek traverses scenic ridgelines before descending towards the sacred alpine lake of Jimilang Tsho at approximately 3,870 metres. Surrounded by rolling hills and snow-capped peaks, this tranquil lake is believed to be home to giant trout and sacred spirits according to local legend. Enjoy breathtaking reflections across the crystal-clear waters before overnight camping beside the lake.
Continue trekking through Bhutan's spectacular alpine lake district, passing several pristine glacial lakes and high-altitude plateaus adorned with colorful prayer flags. The route offers magnificent Himalayan panoramas before reaching the beautiful Simkotra Tsho campsite at approximately 4,110 metres, one of the most picturesque camping locations on the trek. Follow scenic mountain ridgelines and cross high Himalayan passes while enjoying breathtaking views of Mount Jomolhari and surrounding snow-capped peaks. Descend gradually towards the historic Phajoding Monastery, beautifully perched above the Thimphu Valley.
